What makes Kefir fermenter so special?
Innovative elements that create optimal
fermentation conditions.
GLASS JAR
Wide-mouth glass jars are easy to use and clean. Glass is a non-reactive material that does not interact with fermented drink, preserving its flavor and preventing contamination. The transparency allows for effective monitoring of the fermentation process.
TWO-PIECE LID
Can be left open partially to enable airflow during fermentation. Blocks impurities (dust, insects) from entering the jar, even when left slightly open.
STRAINER LID
With integrated sieve designed for different thickness of kefir and the size of grains. The sieve has two pouring areas: one with larger strainer slots and another with smaller ones.
SCRAPER
To mix kefir grains during straining and separating them from kefir. It also covers the hole in the strainer lid which makes straining more convenient and clean.
PLAN PORTIONS
The markings on the jar divide the volume to 300 ml portions.
JUICER
Simply attached to the strainer lid for adding fresh citrus juice to water kefir.

These are a game changer for our routine making Kefir. Previous to using these we used all sorts of kitchen utensils, now it’s a one stop shop. I’m spreading the word of these to family and friends that are already making or thinking of Kefir!
Great price and super fast delivery. Perfect for me!
I prefer to put my kefir through a sieve to separate the grains. It’s too messy using the scraper.

Hi Rosa,umd,
Here are a few tips to help make the process less messy when straining your kefir:
1. Use a Fine Mesh Sieve or Cheesecloth
Opt for a very fine mesh strainer or a cheesecloth to filter out the kefir grains. This allows for a smoother separation without the grains slipping through the holes of a normal sieve. You can also use a fine-mesh nut milk bag for this purpose, which is designed to be more flexible and less prone to spills.
2. Use a Bowl with a Spout
Instead of straining over a flat bowl, use one with a spout so you can easily pour out the kefir without risking spills. This helps direct the flow and keeps things contained.
3. Gently Stir Before Straining
If you find the grains are sticking to the sides of the container or are clumping, try gently stirring the kefir before you strain it. This will help loosen the grains and make them easier to separate, reducing the mess when you pour.
4. Separate the Grains in a Separate Jar
If you prefer to keep your kefir jar clean, try straining the kefir into a clean, empty jar first. Once the kefir is in the new container, use the scraper to remove the remaining grains from the strainer, reducing the mess around the original jar.
5. Strain Over the Sink
If you’re worried about spills, doing the straining over the sink can help contain any drips or overflow, reducing cleanup time.
6. Use a Container with a Built-in Strainer
Some kefir-making containers come with built-in strainers or double-layer lids that make the straining process cleaner. If you plan to make kefir regularly, investing in one of these could save time and mess.

I realise that people are happy with just using a sieve to separate the grains but I love this system. The strainer is easy to clean unlike a sieve. Just rinse under the tap. The jar neck is wide enough to make cleaning that easy too. The scraper works well. I was dubious at first. I love that you can screw down the lid but keep the vent open. The storage jars are interchangeable. Only the lids are different. I am disabled so the ease of use is very important to me. I was given one of these jars and have bought this one as as a back up now I know the system is to my liking. The one given to me had parts missing so I love that spare parts are available. Postage was very quick and you don’t have to sign.
